Nino Kalandadze Featured on Latvian 360TV

Nino Kalandadze, Director of the Chavchavadze Center, gave an interview to Latvia's 360TV program 360 Ziņas on the mass influx of Russian citizens into Georgia. She said the Georgian government fails to vet incoming Russian citizens and instead facilitates their settlement in Georgia — which she said increases the risk of Russian influence and leaves Georgian citizens feeling like guests in their own country. According to Kalandadze, real change in Georgia will only become possible once change happens in Ukraine. The segment also featured Lithuania-based Russian opposition figure Ivan Tyutrin, who said not all Russians can or want to escape mobilization by moving to Georgia; it closed with a report on residents of Russian villages who protect local men from forced mobilization.
